Founding member pricing is limited to 200 households on a paid Household subscription. Your rate stays the same for as long as your subscription remains active — including if you switch between monthly and annual billing, and if a missed payment is later paid. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the price at that time applies. See section 5.8 of our Terms of Use.

Both plans run on the same ledger and the same math. Starter answers the decision in front of you; Household answers whether the plan behind it holds — including a retirement projection that carries federal tax through every withdrawal year. See exactly how each one is calculated.

Pricing FAQ

What is founding member pricing?

HelloMula is new, and the first households who join are helping shape it. As a thank-you, 200 founding members keep today’s Household price — $7.99 a month or $79 a year — for as long as they stay subscribed. If our price changes later, yours won’t.

Switching between monthly and annual keeps your founding rate, and so does paying a missed invoice. Cancelling ends it: if you come back later, the price at that time applies. The free plan is always there if you would rather start there.

What does the free Starter plan include?

Starter covers households of up to 2 members with unlimited accounts, unlimited transactions, core reports and ten Decision Lab analyses. No credit card is needed to sign up. We will notify you at least 30 days before any change to what the free plan includes.

Do I have to pay to get an answer to my question?

No — and that is deliberate. If you came here asking whether to pay off the mortgage, what house you can afford, whether to take the offer, or how to fund college, that analysis is on the free plan.

Household is for the question underneath all of those: does the long game still work? It opens the 1,000-scenario retirement projection — the one that grosses up every withdrawal for federal tax instead of spending pre-tax dollars it doesn’t have — plus the federal tax estimator, RMD scheduling, Roth and 401(k) modelling, and the rest of the twenty-four.

Why only two plans?

Because a plan you cannot buy is not a plan. We would rather show you two real options than three where one is a placeholder. If your household needs more than 5 members, or you want to keep a side business separate from household money, tell us — that is the next thing we are likely to build, and we would rather hear it from you than guess.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you keep access to Household features until that date. Your data is never deleted when you move to the free plan — the analyses you can no longer open are waiting if you come back.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data belongs to you. You can download it from your profile at any time. When you delete your account, it is removed 30 days later, subject to legal retention requirements.
